Happy Birthday Evan! Spent the day working but Evan had a good day. Nina took him swimming in the morning and I took him to the park. Nina made him eggs, bacon and pancakes for breakfast and we had burgers for dinner. Not bad for a two year old bithday.

So we had our second birthday party this week. Saturday was Ashley and Evan’s combined birthday. Nina made her first cake with fondant. She did a high school musical and a Mickey mouse cake. Disney copyright be damned!!

Evan is becoming quite the swimmer. He wears his life jacket and swims by himself all over the pool. He will be quite the swimmer. I imagine that before his 3rd birthday he will be swimming on his own.

Being two he is also working on potty training. Hopefully we won’t be dealing with diapers for to much longer.

Ok, time to get kids ready for bed. Looks like this app is helping me blog more. Maybe I’ll even keep it up.

I just downloaded a tool for blogging from my iPhone. Maybe I’ll post more that I have it at my fingertips. Or maybe I’ll continue to post every couple of months. Well I guess we will see.

So the year hasn’t turned out to be a total failure (nobody has died this year), but it isn’t over yet!

We ended up having to walk away from our mortgage and let our hours foreclose. Not the most fun thing in the world. In the end our interest rate went way up and our payments almost doubled and it just didn’t work financially to stay. We did get offered “Cash for Keys”. Basically they offered us $500 to hand over our keys and not trash the place when we left. Continue Reading »
