You only live once (unless you reincarnate)

Having somebody close to you die really makes you ponder existance. While death is a constant it seems that birth and life is too. My cousin Courtney just found out she is having twins. So the exchange rate is going pretty good in our family. Out one Grandpa Steve and in two new cousins.

I’m not sure what stage of grief I’m in: Continue Reading »

Finite Time (Never is loooong)

My mom received a call that Steve’s ashes are ready to be picked up. It’s really hard to understand the scale of never. I can’t stop thinking about what never really means. I will never see Steve again. He will never walk into the shop and say hi. The body that he was in doesn’t even exist anymore. It’s just a pile of ash.

Never is a long time.

House Pictures From The Past

So a little over two years ago we started ripping the floors up in our house and putting in wood floors. The projects isn’t finished (need to put some base boards down) but it will be someday!

Hello world!

So this is the first post on my new blog. It may seem strange that it is showing as the second post. That’s because I stole my blog from my MySpace page and posted it here so it would all be in one place.

On June 11, 2008 my step-Dad Steve Miller passed away. This was the closest person to me that has died in many years. I’ve had other older relatives die and I had a friend die in high school. Just a month before Nina’s cousin Bryan’s wife passed away.

I was reading my niece Megan’s posts on MySpace about reading through Steve’s journals and I realized that if I died, nobody would know what was going on in my life, if I had been thinking about them or anything like that. So I decided that I would start a blog on my JustSage.com domain that I hadn’t decided what to do with. So here I am posting my first message. I’ll try to tag things so that people can really pick and choose what they want to read.

Hope that I’m not boring you to death already!
